Fans at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill., were treated to a three-person aerial performance Saturday night. Chicago Slaughter (10-0) quarterback Russ Michna teamed up with Bobby Sippio and Dontrell Jackson on 18 passes totaling 293 yards and seven touchdowns en route to a 67-22 drubbing of the Wolfpack (5-4).
The Slaughter pulled out to a 14-0 first quarter lead. The Wolfpack would get on the board just seconds into the second quarter on a three-yard touchdown run by Derrick Brown.
Michna and Sippio connected for two second quarter touchdowns and Wolfpack kicker Paul Schroeder booted a 31-yard field goal, giving the Slaughter a 27-9 halftime lead.
The Slaughter would strike first in the third quarter on a two-yard Khreem Smith run, but the Wolfpack sturck back seven minutes later on a three-yard touchdown run by Eric Donoval to make the score 33-15.
Michna would team up with Sippio and J.D. Sheldon on touchdown passes and Keith Herron added a 57-yard missed field goal return for a touchdown to expand the Slaughter lead to 53-15.
Wolfpack quarterback Tom Kudyba scrambled 25 yards for a touchdown with 9:10 left to play in the game, bringing the score to 53-22.
Michna would complete the scoring by hitting Sippio for two more touchdown passes.
The Wolfpack host the Miami Valley Silverbacks at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum next week. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster or through the Alliant Energy Center ticket office. |
